Re: Binders are just hipster clerics
It's part of the founding ethos. Hipsters hung out in coffee shops and used Macs before either was really big.
Go back 15 years, and you won't see a coffee bar on every street corner. Back then, apple was used by people who scoffed at those IBM-compatible fools with their viruses and their plethora of different programs and games.

Re: Binders are just hipster clerics
Don't they use Linux now? I mean, they should. Now Linux is the thing with no programs and games on it.

Re: Binders are just hipster clerics
If binders are hipsters, warlocks are mall goths. Tell me this outfit was not purchased at Hot Topic.
Binder: "Yeah, I'm into black magic. Nothing you've heard of though."
Warlock: "Dude, me too! Have you heard of Eldritch Blast???"

I want to be a hipster bard whose music only has power so long as no one listening has heard it before.

Re: Binders are just hipster clerics
Hmm. If I ever found a band (unlikely), I'll sell out ironically.
I think I'll also buy a totally sarcastic 27 room villa and an ironic private jet.Last edited by Eldan; 2011-04-30 at 06:11 PM.

Re: Binders are just hipster clerics
Oh yeah, I used to think about playing a binder, but that was before they got all popular. Now I just play this obscure Truenamer PrC, you've probably never heard of it, I got it at my local gaming store as part of a limited run of Dragon mags that got recalled and then reprinted, but I got one, and, man, it's like even more outside the tier system than Truenamer, and....

I'm just going to point out that the warlock pic looks more like a member of Judas Priest.

Cleric: "You siphon power from a water spirit?"
