The appearance of the shwarf-eating tentacle is a bit alarming, almost as alarming as the amounts of fluid coming out of that one shwarf. Bommel did not know they had bags of holding for stomachs. The silktail is still shivering and sniffling from the cold, and a big sneeze sends him flying, quickly enough to luckily dodge the hammer strike aimed at him.
Wanting to be a bit further away from a tentacle and an endlessly spewing dwarf, Bommel more or less rolls up the front of the shwarf in front of him and down his back, which also happens to deliver his many strikes. Clearly on purpose. Yes.
