We were expecting snow. Up in Huntsville i hear it got seen inches. Not as much was expected down here in central Alabama, but icy roads are still an issue. We rarely, if ever, get subfreezing temperatures. As such, we don't invest in things like salt trucks to clear the roads, as a quick example, because that doesn't really make much sense - it'd be like Birmingham, England building tornado shelters. Ergo, in the unlikely event we get snow, we just shut down. It's maybe a couple days a decade or so.
