If you're actually curious, in my case it's the fact that I'm no longer reading the webcomic. I'm still reading this thread because of that green checkmark. Really we made a new thread at like, the worst possible time. A few weeks later and it would be really easy to ignore it entirely.

Yep, pretty much this. I click on the checkmark automatically thinking that it's a thread I care about. (And now the reduced traffic'll mean it'll take way slower to get to 50 pages. )
