With your newfound companion rescued from the dastardly clutches of the dragon and its hobgoblin cohorts, you bravely...return the way you came. A judicious application of Shatter-spells to the base of the bridge causes at first a crumble and then a massive thundering clap as cracks run along its base. They grow, splintering the stone and sending a steady rain of dust and crumbling rocks down into the ravine below, before it all comes down in one tumultuous moment. A massive plume of dust rises up to accompany the symphony of crashes, threatening to choke you out had you not gained distance.

With your mission successful, you retreat towards the safety of the treeline, to remake your own camp, and recover for the next day - perhaps swapping stories and tales as you do so.

Party receives 15exp for beating the Deadly encounter and 8exp for blowing the bridge as a 'quest' objective, so 23 total from that encounter.

Assuming sheets are updated I believe that puts the party at 84/100.

You then benefit from a long rest, since I presume you're not travelling far at night.

Day 4

Though you had set watches, they prove to be unnecessary. Perhaps the wildlife had been scared off from the area by the bridge collapse, but you see neither Red Hand patrols, nor any other creatures to bother you during the night. It isn't long in your trek back to town that you reach the fork in the road once more. Bernie seems somewhat concerned about the lack of giants, and volunteers to check in on them, while the rest of you warn Drellin's Ferry, and so he bids you a hopefully temporary farewell.

Jorr continues to lead you back south along the winding back trails of the Witchwood, your victory still freshly behind you. Not long into the afternoon, while the sun hangs overhead with scorching heat, Jorr raises a hand for you to stop, pointing out a number of cocoon-like nests up in the tree branches. "Stirges, lots of 'em. Try not to let 'em latch on ya or they'll suck you dry!" His voice is little more than a whisper, but even that much seems to have roused the flying beasts, as a loud buzzing emerges - followed quickly by the razor 'nosed' creatures themselves. There's a hunger in their flitting motions, and they have you in their sights.
