Bil takes in what he's seen, his nose twitching furiously.

"Magus," he calls, "I have begun to suspect, and your observations and confirmation would be most sincerely appreciated, but do you think it possible that the lizard is not our foe, but rather the unstylish calotte this fellow is sporting?"

Approaching cautiously, Bil times he jump, leaping at the lizard and reaching for the hat.

The map looks like I might be able to move in 20' (4 south and 4 east), use the dodge action, interact with object, then fall back 5 or 10 feet (2 north).
But if you want my action for an acrobatics check or similar, I'll use my 2nd hop.

rolled a 13 in anticipation of a skill check call. Acrobatics is +2 so 15, if that's the route.
