“John,” Mimi announced as he made his way towards the roof doorway, “I have completed the decoding using the parameters you set.”
He stopped and took his iPad Mini from his jacket pocket. “Have I mentioned lately that you are a treasure, Mimi?” John asked. “Because you are, you know.”
He frowned as he scanned over the initial pages. While he could follow some of what was there, it was clear it would not be fast going.
“Let me guess,” he said as he began to drift back towards the patio set. “No one at West Side has a secret background as a brilliant geneticist. Do we have any indications of such knowledge on the other provisional teams or anyone associated with us here in town?”
He would need to speak to Raphael about this.
He glanced up, looking in the direction of 5th Chapter.
“Mimi:” John added as he pulled up the AEGIS messaging app, “can you ask Stella and Raphael to join me on the roof? I should probably brief them about developments with Princess Vrell and with the decoding of the journal.”
