Before he can ask the gnome for a spot-clean, Mauricio notices the merchant's breakdown. It is one thing for a vendor to begrudge losing a day's business, but... Zetath is behaving more like his firstborn son is being taken away. Mauricio waits for Kharesh to apologize for assaulting the man before making his own approach.

"Are your current finances so tight that you cannot survive a week?" Rather than being judgmental, Mauricio's question cuts to the heart of the matter like a verbal scalpel.
