This can be fixed by inserting an empty row after the first row. Basically the same trick can be used to repeat a color if necessary or to switch the color order (by putting an empty row before the first actual row. This doesn't work with sortable tables, because of the reasons stated above).

This is bad HTML and could produce unexpected results. Not a good idea.
