I always feel I should be concerned about people who create those kinds of stories from what's essentially a little kid's cartoon about happiness and friendship.

Eh, I don't think it's warranted. Some people like ponies and grimdark and happen to think that those two flavours make a better flavour when put together. I (vehemently) disagree with the notion, but ultimately I'm not going to worry about or judge people for their tastes in fanfiction*.


*Usually. I mean, when it comes to ethics and human behaviours it is generally best not to speak in absolutes.
