I've always found it curious that Santa apparently eats what is essentially kids' food. When I was younger, we gave him a mince pie and sherry (plus a carrot for the reindeer). My sister appears to have compromised with her kids, and leaves out mince pies and milk.

On top of what DavidSh said, Santa is very child-like anyway. Had other people build everything for him, only works one day a year, his work is bringing presents, he focuses more on children, sneaks around despite everyone knowing about him and not doing anything bad or unwanted.... It's pretty easy for children to identify with him, and that just helps.

Also, milk (and cookies) is every age food.

It's a fair point, but if that's the concern, you'd have thought we'd be leaving out coffee to keep him alert.

In my experience it's not really a drink. Milkshakes? Yes but they're kiddy. Coffee that's 90% milk and 10% bean water? Yes but I will be judging you. Pure alcohol? Acceptable if you have kids. But nobody here really drinks just straight milk.


My girlfriend got my Persona 5 on Switch, so now I can play it on the move! (And like at a stable frame rate.) All I need to do now is decide which waifu I want to kiss on the first run.

Plus you need milk for toad in the hole, as well as for all those cakes we eat while avoiding dinner.

Decent enough haul this year. Got some new headphones to treplace the one's that are going out, some new shoes to replace my worn out waling boots, some very comfortable slippers, a big ole fluffy blanket, nd a decent selection of sugar free snacks...
