Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
I corroborate:
Xihirli targeted me
the first night.
And then the next day,
When she townleaned me on "gut",
I responded thus:

More like "don't want to."

CaoimhinTheCape to try a counter wagon.
And dang it, may as well.
I am the Seer, Dakrsiddar is town. I thought AV was town as well but I think that night power was tampered with.
Caoimhin is being shot this phase by Snowblaze. No need to double-dip.
Well. In that case, I think I benefit from doing this now. There are so many other valuable town claims at this point that I'm okay catching a bullet if I have to, metaphorically speaking. So let's see if this works.
AS THE CONTENDER TO THE ROLE HAS BEEN STRUCK BY THREE MAJOR BLOWS AND THUS BEEN SLAIN, BEFORE THE GODS I CLAIM THE ROLE OF ARCHMAGE.

Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
So is there anyone whose aspect ability you would like to know? I can do that.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Okay, it seems like the list of verifications is how we untangle this.
- AV claims Xi is town.
- AV claims Snow is town.
- Xi claims Dakrsidder is town.
- Caedorus claims Snow is town.
- 3SC claims Snow is town.
These all feel like solid verifications, not leans. I know Im missing a bunch with Merel and Athedia, but on my phone at work atm.
Can someone help me out with these? I feel like once we have a solid idea of who is trying to actually corroborate who, we can narrow down and be more precise with our votes.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Ok, so this happened.
Unvote.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
unvote
Welp. That happened.
Okay then.
So, uh, who are the wolves?
Xihirli town implies Dakrsidder town. We're not killing the Seer claimant. I'm okay with AV and Caedorus as claimed neutrals living another day. Kraken is doing a dramatic reveal thing which I think it's best to let unfold. Merel self-resolves depending on whether flat is killed. flat is confirmed town by flip. Caoimhin is being shot. I am now even more confirmed town than I already was.
Which leaves, uh, Cazero/Athedia/3SecondCultist.
Does anyone object to my reasons not to kill anyone outside those names?

Night one, my power
Let me hide behind Snowblaze.
Xihirli visits.
Day two, Xihirli
Claims to read me as above.
I think about that.
It could be gut read.
But if she's a seer, that means
Snowblaze is above.
Today, Xi claims.
Seer, just as I expected.
Thus, Snowblaze is clear.
I have no seer proof.
But her gutread tracks with that,
As do my results.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
- Caedorus - Claims Thief, Neutral. Ostensibly aligned with town,
- AvatarVecna - Claims Neutral, Ostensibly aligned with town.
- Snowblaze - Reported Attacked, confirmed by like three different sources as Town. Has a 1/game any-phase vid.
- flat_footed - Indisputably town.
- Xihirli - Claims Seer, mechanically if not in role.
- Persolus - Dead. Wolf. My counterpart from Below.
- Dakrsidder - Has not claimed. Xihirli (who has claimed Seer) claims is indisputably town.
- Let'sGetKraken - Was formerly the Apprentice (Above). Has dramatically claimed the role of Archmage. We'll see how it works out for him.
- 3SecondCultist - Has claimed [Redacted] (Above), has confirmed the identities and abilities of multiple town. No one has specifically vouched for his alignment.
- Cazero - Has not claimed. Is riding on a lot of goodwill from staying on Persolus when wolves were really, really close.
- MerelBlackbird - Has claimed Alchemist (Above). Role doesn't match the side of the angels narratively and a bad vote D1, but is using good abilities on Flat, which if they go through probably make her town.
- Athedia - Reportedly attacked. Has claimed a transitional role which is able protect people, is aligned with a single individual, and can detect Aspects.
- CaoimhinTheCape - has not claimed. Being shot by Snowblaze this phase, so a wagon here is useless at best and awful at worst.
This does not leave a lot of room for wolves.

Nope. This is wild. 2/3 of those names were on the wagon for the wolf D1.
It is also possible that a wolf would have alignment-fooling.
Cazero. I don't like it, but Athedia is promising to be helpful and Cultist is I think the most town of those three through behaviour, not counting voting.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Since they're POE,
And it might affects voting,
I'll give my last name.
Night one, three people.
Cape, Xihirli...Cazero,
And he injured me.
I still think he's town.
With how day one wagons went,
Shooting me? Towny.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Counterpoint: there was an outed wolf N1, and the obvious pro-town move is to shoot said outed wolf with any non-limited-shot injury-inflicting ability you may have.
Cazero is the least worst option, then, it seems. I would like to make sure there's enough votes here that we don't accidentally end up killing Dakrsidder or wasting an elimination on Caoimhin, given the still-unknown stuff that's been meddling with votes.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Two more things:
1) Athedia said she might have some info on Cazero. I assumed this is the Aspect info? Anything you could share would be super relevant. Athedia, now is the time to share it, if you don't mind, since the game state is getting close-ish to being solved.
2) We have two power thieves (minimum). Since you both seem to be town aligned, I am sincerely recommending that you not to copy mine, since I have an active and a passive Aspect, and the active is much weaker without the passive, and the passive does literally nothing without the active.

Looks worse with hindsight?
For all we knew, Pers was dead
After day one's end.
It might just be me,
But were I vigilante,
Shoot a corpse? No way.
I've missed a lot, though.
Maybe I missed obvious
Signs pers was alive.

Or completely distracted.
Anyway, vote: Caz.

The weakened form of his power I received was "Once per cycle, you may deal a minor injury." thus I assume he can deal a major injury
Cazero
- - - Updated - - -
Also to be clear I do not steal powers (though I copied the ability to steal one).
I simply gain access to a weaker version of the aspect, which I can then use or trade out to learn another weakened form of an aspect.
-
Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Hrm. I will unvote my previous submission for now. Thanks for clarifying, AV and Athedia.
Athedia, that information is helpful if true, and Cazero flipping wolf now will be good for Athedia. That being said, it's definitely not impossible they're W/W and this is a bus attempt.
Either way, if Cazero flips town, I think we've found wolf no. 2.
I need to go back and put everything together. Maybe with some string and cutout pictures.
This is also really making me want to run my own W/W game someday.

Do not corner a dying beast, for that is when he is most frightful.
Cazero has been judged, and struck thrice.

Squire (Below)
Squire to the Black Knight, you follow the path of shadows and seek to bloody the waters in your wake.

Aspects:
- Hide: Hide behind another, all non-harmful powers target this other.
- Listen: You discover who targeted you.
- Survive: Attacks against you are weakened.
AvatarVecna sustained four minor injuries.

Aspects:

Athedia sustained one major injury and two minor injuries.
Quote:
Lord of Frozen Orchids (Somewhere in-between)
A magician once made a deal to gain knowledge from the Garden, your home Arcadia, yet now seeks to hide from his debt of blood and ink. You must hunt him down before the turn of the moon.
You have no Aspects as one of the Fae, nevertheless you still have powers:
- The Hunt: Target another and sense if they are the Hunted Magician.
- The Bloom: You can suffer one major injury more.
- The Rime: Deal a major injury. You may use this once per cycle.
Dakrsidder has returned to Arcadia, victory in hands of frost.
Night Three starts now, it will end in ~18 hours.

What a day, what a day ! And to think I tried to lay low. All for nothing.
I suppose my plans were bad. But I will not give up. I demand vengeance, and one way or another, you will feel my wrath.

The time for my long price draws near, and if I'm not mistaken I hear the whispering of a kindred soul. Let's go out with a bang, shall we?

Hey flat, are you still alive / empowered? Let me know before the end of this phase if you can.

Gained 1 major injury.
No empowerment quite yet.

Re: A Small Wager A Practical Guide to Evil
Caedoruss results came back neutral.
We seem to be in the weird position of having killed most of the wolves but not knowing what to do next.
Maybe a few of our lock-towns shouldnt be so locked?
