Oi! To be clear, is Taalia staying in the tower and trying to call out to Briant and Bella hoping they can make it to her; or is she trying to get to them as well to meet them halfway?
She's waving her arms to grab their attention.
Once she gets that, she'll dart down to the keep entrance and meet them there.
Summoned by the Email Notification Gods, and here to pass virtual die:
Outdoor Survival: [roll0] vs TN 45
Willpower: [roll1] vs TN 34
If Fail, fate Point, because IPs are no joke: [roll2] vs TN 34
And one more: [roll3] vs TN 34
Edit: Really? 4 rolls at 36% average and not one pass?
Will give a FP for each:
Outdoor survival: [roll0] vs TN 44
Willpower: [roll1] vs TN 34
6x 36% rolls and only one passed. I'm lol'ing IRL. Ah well, didn't gain an IP at least.
Ahahaha
Call to mystery and perilous adventure: "hey come outside hun it'll be cool"
Taalia: "f u"
Well, if Muhammad won't come to the mountain...
Well, she's right - it's dangerous out there!
Bastard orcs. Even when they're dead they're still a pain in the arse.
Initiative: [roll0]
Taalia will stab at the orc ghost!
She'll use the ghostly sword, not sure what bonuses it has outside of being able to attack ghosts.
Attack 1: [roll0] vs TN 54
Damage: [roll1]
If fury: [roll2] vs TN 54, Damage [roll3]
Attack 2: [roll4] vs TN 54
Damage: [roll5]
If fury: [roll6] vs TN 54, Damage [roll7]
Indeed you are discovering those bonuses as you go!
For a start, you may reroll the first miss each combat turn against an undead opponent!
Ahh! Splendid. Let's see...
Attack 1 Re-roll: [roll0] vs TN 54
Ah, close.
54 is her base Weapon Skill, so unless there's a +5% WS bonus from somewhere, that's a very close miss.
The sword is not best quality alas.
However, Taalia must not so quickly forget her lessons!
Donallo's Lesson: When wielding a sword, you gain +3% WS, and WP.
Well hey, sweet! It's been a while IRL since that time, I forgot about that hah, glad you remembered :). In that case she hits and does 10 damage.
Hopefully there's no other Undead characters I have about that she might encounter >_> lol.
Little rolls for Briant:
[roll0] to hit, [roll1]!
Charge Attack: [roll0] vs TN 67

If fury: [roll2] vs TN 67, Damage [roll3]
Re-roll the miss:

I'll FP it: [roll0] vs TN 67
There we go! Hit the Orc for 16 damage!
Parry: [roll0] vs TN 67
Dodge: [roll1] vs TN 52
Sweet, she parries!
Attack 1: [roll0] vs TN 57

Hearing-based Perception Check: [roll0] vs TN 79
Would Taalia be able to go into the Duelist career?
She doesn't have a Main Gauche or a rapier, but she's got an Elven-made best quality longsword and a pile'o guns.
Perception checks:
Visual: [roll0] vs TN 79
Smell: [roll1] vs TN 79
Well, those are acceptable dueling forms in some places - but you haven’t been to all those places yet!
If we can get you a little contact with a duellist “mentor” or teaching moment like we did with mercenary, and you drop a little money getting the formal entry gear, I think that’ll be fine.
Splendid!
I figure she's got the mixture of real life experience combined with lessons from Donalo and Cavaliere Guidaldo Visconti, and can train more with Briant to form her own style. She's actually got Weapon Skill 54 which is...pretty good, actually lol, if she were a tabletop mini she'd have WS 5, which is on the level of elite troops.
She could train more with Briant, especially now as she can speak rudimentary Breton. She's got the gun (which is the most expensive entry), she doesn't have a Rapier or Main Gauche, but she does have a best quality elven-made longsword, which might suit a more Briant/Knight-inspired swashbuckling duelist.
This is a fair notion, and she may well end up in situations where longsword dueling is the norm; but since rapier dueling is the old world courtly standard (and since SWG Fencing and Parrying are required talents) she'll have to get one eventually. I'm got an idea of how to work it in, hang in there.
2 degrees of success means she has to roll a 1 to 4 hehe.
Gossip: [roll0] vs TN 24
Nope.
Btw, I found this pretty cool and expansive map that you might like: https://wjrf.bimondiens.com/content/...php?id=50#card
Hah well I figured it wasn't worth spending a FP on a 24% chance :smalltongue:.
Pfft, fine. FP roll: [roll0] vs TN 24
>_>
<_<
I'll never hear the end of this.
