Debatable; I used to be of the exact same opinion but I've seen a lot of compelling arguments both ways to the point that I've just decided it's table dependent and mention it when the topic comes up. It is, if nothing else, a VERY popular allow but I'll concede that it is murky RAW at best.
If you want the most concrete ability example, Bard's level 19 ability "Jack of All Trades" allows for unambiguous Taking 10 on any skill, including UMD, and you may feel free to replace Skill Mastery for that in my previous post as otherwise the content is the same.

Does spell perfection(greater dispel magic) apply to the increased caster level granted by dispel focus and greater dispel focus?
Re: Simple RAW for Pathfinder Thread VI: Return of the Red Die
A482 Yes, it's a set numerical bonus.

Q483
Suppose I have the appropriate prerequisite feats (improved familiar, craft construct, etcetera) to have a homunculus familiar
.a) can the normal construct modification be done to the familiar?
.b) if I increase the hit die ( nominally from 2 to 3 for 2000 mo), does the familiar gain a feat?
.c) can the hit die be increased to 5 - 7 - and so on?
Q484
does a poppet familiar gain a feat at 1st level when it's INT becomes 6?
Q485
at what range can "personal" spells be used on a familiar, if you have the distant spell link feat?
Re: Simple RAW for Pathfinder Thread VI: Return of the Red Die
Q486: Can a class select multiple archetypes, as long as they meet the prerequisites for all of them? I would assume so, but I don't know.
Re: Simple RAW for Pathfinder Thread VI: Return of the Red Die
A486: you can select any number of valid archetypes. Prerequisites is not the issue (as most have none), but you do need to make sure that none of them modify or replace the same feature. It's entirely possible to create a stack of 5+ archetypes for certain classes.
'modify a feature' can be weird, as it is not clearly stipulated in most archetypes.

Is there a rule for cohort starting wealth by level?
Is it the same as PC or NPC?

NPC Gear by level is on page 453 of the CRB, table 14-9.

freedom of movement says you automatically succeed on checks to escape grapples. If I cast freedom of movement on an ally that is grappled, he still needs to standard action attempt to escape the grapple, correct?

A488: This should be the case, yes. Sort of. Freedom of Movement is more powerful when cast proactively.
However, this only applies if the subject intends to break the Grapple the turn that FoM is cast. On reaching the Grappler's turn, his check to maintain the Grapple would automatically fail. So the circumstance that someone would need to spend an action to get out of a Grapple while under FoM are relatively niche, though not unheard of.

Naderi deity, deific obedience second sentinel boon, here copypasted:
2: All Who Live Suffer Loss (Su) You channel the despair and grief you have suffered into a cloud of sadness that saps the will of those who oppose you. All foes within a 30-foot, cone-shaped burst are staggered for a number of rounds equal to your Hit Dice, and take a –1 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls. A successful Will saving throw (DC = 10 + 1/2 your Hit Dice + your Charisma modifier) negates this effect.
this seems to lack a limitation on number of uses per day, and so it can nominally be done "at will". Is that correct, or is there perhabs an errata that sets it to 1/day ?
Re: Simple RAW for Pathfinder Thread VI: Return of the Red Die
Q489 Correct, as long as you've done the daily obedience.

The Deific Obedience feat states:

As the boon states no number of uses, would that be a constant effect that needs no action to be activated?

Assuming you're still talking about Naderi, the boon has a specific duration, so no. See my boldface below,

Does anybody know if in pathfinder there is a spell like "Death troes" that exists in D&D 3.5?
the intent would be to share/cast it on a weak animal companion, such that it does a retributive explosion when it dies
Re: Simple RAW for Pathfinder Thread VI: Return of the Red Die
A490: Final Sacrifice is the closest you can get. it's for Summoned creatures.
Bit cheaper and easier to get your hands on than an Animal Companion anyway.
Re: Simple RAW for Pathfinder Thread VI: Return of the Red Die
Q491: Is there any way to use the earth elemental's ability to glide through earth, but with metal? That would allow a dragon to swim through a ridiculously large pile of coins, which seems appropriate for most dragons.

If I use the spell harmless form on my (small feline type) leopard animal companion, polymorphing it into a tiny-size cat, will it still have its original natural attacks?

A492 Harmless form chains to beast shape 2 which chains to beast shape 1, but none of those override the general Polymorph subschool rules for natural attacks, which say that you get the natural attacks of the form you change into.
So you get the natural attacks of the housecat not the leopard.

Anyone know any RAW DC for craft checks for mundane jewelry? Ideally of something of value >=00gp

A493: DCs are found on the Craft skill's page. You're looking for themore generic DCs at the very bottom of the table.
Quote:
Very simple item (wooden spoon) Varies 5
Typical item (iron pot) Varies 10
High-quality item (bell) Varies 15
Complex or superior item (lock) Varies 20
So the DC technically caps at 20 for great jewelry, and a separate DC 20 for a Masterwork piece.
DC isn't based on price; price/cost just determines how long it will take to craft it.
