Delmuth, "the Hood" initiative [roll0]
Safe to assume The hood strikes first 😂
Edit #2 so close to that Crit. Oh well, 40 damage in a turn is more then enough for the "Hood" to make his point should the leader live
Nanes-Ilnitiative: [roll0]
I noticed that she had too high of an Initiative listed on her character sheet! I fixed that.
Ganzaya's initiative is...
[roll0]
Faurgar’s initiative [roll0]
Looks like I'm batting clean-up...
Initiative [roll0]
Dimension steps has a 25+5/2 levels, that's 40'. So I'm taking us about 10' behind the enemies as they start charging, then Udro is moving next to the cleric and Jericho could move towards the archer.
So, how far are the baddies away from us and did any fall victim to the Scare? Just so I have an idea if anyone's still a threat for Ganzaya to go after...
It's in the first IC post. The melee soldiers are 30 feet away, the cleric and archer are a further 15 feet away.
@spectralphoenix
What sort of armour are the soldiers wearing and are they using light or heavy shields? I feel that should be easily observable.
Does Udro have a melee threat? I don't see one in his attacks.
Right now, one fighter is dead, the cleric is shaken but uninjured, the archer is frightened, one fighter is wounded, shaken, and dark-companioned, one fighter is shaken, and one fighter is untouched. Their positions are mostly as rax said though the archer moved another 20 feet laterally to cover as they spread out.
The fighters are wearing full plate with large steel shields and masterwork longswords. The cleric has full plate, a light shield, and a heavy mace. The archer has a chain shirt and a masterwork longbow and a longsword. I was going to bring this up once we got to the looting phase, but Zhentarim armor is very distinctive and selling mysteriously acquired secondhand suits of it in areas controlled by the Zhents is a Bad Idea. It can be sold elsewhere, but only a 1/4 market value because it has to be broken down for scrap.
Haha, hey, Archer, maaybe why don't you ask the Priest if his imaginary friend can help you out, too? 😼
Well, the good news is, it looks like these guys... had less than 6 HD!
Im going to wait to see how the battlefield unfolds with the actions of our lower rollers and probably just support where is needed so I don't use all my tricks in the first fight.
Zhentarim attacks:
Cleric (Sound Burst): damage [roll0]
Fighter vs. Ganzaya: [roll1] damage: [roll2]
Fighter vs. Faurgar: [roll3] damage: [roll4]
Fighter vs. Udro: [roll5] damage: [roll6]
Delmuth and Faurgar take damage from Sound Burst and need to make DC 15 Fort saves or be stunned for a round
Also, is Udro taking a Spell Failure chance from that buckler? Master Spellthief doesn't apply to shields and it doesn't say it's mithril.
Whoops, let's try those rolls again.

Fort save [roll0] vs DC 15
Are people okay with me Targeting enemies they are already engaged in/fighting to try and finish off some people? I know some players like the honor dual so want to ask before I target anyone specific.
You know, I don't know when I'm going to get that nat 1, but when I do it's going to be at the worst possible time apparently.
Yes, my summary went up through the end of the round. The Hood still needs to go before you.
Current status at end of round:
Injured, shaken, Dark Companion afflicted fighter engaged with Faurgar
Injured fighter engaged with Ganzaya
Uninjured, shaken (6 rounds) fighter flanking Udro
Uninjured, shaken (wears off at start of Nanes-Il's turn) cleric flanking Udro
Nanes-Il and Delmuth are unengaged with Delmuth inside PBS range and Nanes-Il further back. Jericho is unengaged near the back of the fight after killing the archer.
I'll update Udro's sheet. My AC currently is only with his Dex(13) Since I didn't declare having cast Mage Armor. The buckler is a leftover of an earlier version, sorry.
If Jericho moves into melee with the folks flanking Udro, could Udro take a 5' step and flank the cleric with Jericho?
Flashbacks from when I had to PVP in WoW -- time to gank the priest!
Faurgar's Fort save [roll0] vs. DC 15 (extra +3 bonus from arcane resistance)
Udro's stolen spell (I guess I just roll and count down the cleric's entire list of spells prepared?): [roll0]
The cleric is now very dead, and the uninjured fighter took damage from Nanes-Il's Storm Bolt. Ganzaya missed both attacks, so the three fighters are all up but varying degrees of injured.
...and Udro is now the proud new owner of a Guidance spell.
Normally I'd get to choose.
I might be a little confused about how the ability works. I've never actually played a spellthief before. So far as I can tell, you can name a spell when you use the ability (you didn't) and if the target has that spell, you steal it, otherwise you get a random spell of any level you can steal. When you get Discover Spells at 13th level, you learn the target's spells prepared/known after the first time you use the ability.
I'm open to the idea I'm wrong on this, though. Can you explain exactly how you think the ability works?
Oh, I think you are right, I need to name the spell. Well, that's pretty inconvenient. Guidance it is: charcoal guidance.
Too bad it's not 5e Guidance...:smalltongue:
