Idk what munted means but he's taken considerable damage. On the other hand he came out of his hell pit looking enhanced, as though he was "pre-buffed".

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Munted means broken, wrecked, deformed.
Usually reserved for observational commentary not action. One does not munt something; they merely notice how munted it is.
Now you know!

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Now I do!
Checks for Jbe, actions for Feather. Then it's Nightwing's turn.
Need a way to consistently roll 30 or better on attacks to kill Kate, it seems.

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Kate did her Kate trick and took her turn last turn as a double, to flatten that infernalist!

K well fair enough. I still need Jbe to complete the checks asked for in the IC post.
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat being said, *IF* Jbe passes them, Nightwings charging power attack ironfist flying kick will bring this thing quite low, right before Damien's turn.
Also, since Kate can't go....
...The Invisible Reinforcement Timer revolves to a new round (x2 rounds passed).

Hold the Phone, Kate’s walking-around AC is 30? I am jelly as helly.

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
1. Caster Level Check [roll0]
2. Spot Check [roll1]

It's only 25, and that's with buffs.

Oh. Well then I am less deeply intimidated. :)

Both pass. The attack slams into the monster's face, doing grievous damage.
You become aware that something invisible has been following you, hovering or crawling near the ceiling. It does not seem particularly large, but you obviously cannot be sure since you can't physically see it.

I was more saying I need to be able to routinely break 30 in order to hit her because I have to beat buffed AC25, then get through concealing Amorpha...
...you know what I'm gonna just start using spells and breath weapons lmao.
And...I *believe*...it's Damien's turn!

The stalker is tiny, humanoid shaped and appears to be flapping some wings to hove along the ceiling. It's hands and feet are long and slender. Sending it's form through your blindsense gives a deep feeling of unease, though it's not very large.

Hmm. How many people can you dimension door at a time, Feather?

4, but only if we are all touching

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Hmm. I was just thinking about our extraction plan for these bad wizards, is all. They're... all murderous monsters, but I can never get past it feeling very un-batman to just, for example, beat them unconcious and chuck them to the slimes. I'd much rather imprison them in the cells under the cave until they can be locked 'securely' back at Arkham; but I hadn't considered our plan for such until just now.

Lol, respect the effort but you are WAY overdoing it lol. The Gargantuan Fiendish Monstrous Centipede (had to finally spill the beans for Abdiel) had 7 HP left.

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
The floor is open, unless we think we need to stay in turn order.
Hey, just for funsies, anyone want to roll a Wisdom check to see how long you have till reinforcements arrive?
If you guys think that's too meta-y we don't have to but I just had that idea and thought it could be fun.

So did my knife hit the creature on the roof and just fail to startle it?

Shoot. Misread instructions. Stand by.

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Okay I'm back, sorry about that. Attack misses the invisible target. I'll edit my post accordingly.

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Do we have any sort of mind link thing going on? I vaguely remembered it being floated but can’t see it being posted anywhere.
-
Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Oh, I thought Kate was sustaining it for like.. ever!
-
Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Sadly, it has a relatively short duration
-
Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
I have telepathic bond which I can cast now and has a duration of 140 minutes for me.
-
Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Well, you're the one with the spell budget; I'm happy enough to bumble along with handsign and winking for now if you need to be able to burn that slot for something else later. After we get this diamond (hopefully) we'll be able to skype each other for free.

Abdiel has a point about the amulet.
Less savvy on 3.5e Wizardry though.
Wizards have to pre-prepare their slots every day. So each slot Oracle has is essentially under a "Dibs" system that can only be truncated by counter-spells or if she has some kind of spontaneous ability, which would usually be very limited to certain types of spells for whatever class or prestige class grants it.
So she doesn't have a "freed slot"; if she was offering that spell, that's because it's prepped and is useless unless used. The question is only when in a day (night) to use it.
Spontaneous Arcane casters in this setting (often Cha casters, with the exception of Bards) tend to be unhinged maniacs who don't properly control their magic through mage-like rigor. So, your Sorcerers, your Dread Necromancers, and, arguably, your Warlocks.

Re: 3.5e Batman Campaign (2.0) [2nd Thread]
Yeah, I have spontaneous divination so can always swap out for a wider variety of spells than most, but this also means I have to know divination spells for every level or lose access to some slots entirely. Luckily, Telepathic Bond is a divination spell and I have no 5th level combat spells aside from extended greater invisibility so I’ll cast it.

Still a positive outcome, lmao.

*Flabbergasted*
Good SIR do you take me for some kind of NOOB? I'll have you know I got the killing blow on Adamarchus at the end of Shackled City as it was being released for 3.5e in Dragon Magazine! Why, I've played Fatespinners, Mindbenders, Thrallherds, Archmages - the CHEEK of you!
I just have been out of the game long enough I had no idea how Oracle's thing worked and I know she can do some spell swappies.
