Not many of us on these boards, apparently, and I've been kept away from my games by IRL stuff for a while. But here's a giant spider:

Well, my first ever wargame: Perry Miniatures Travel Battle.
https://i.ibb.co/th9vMD4/TB-1.jpg
Basically, blue are at this point wiping out the reds. It was a test game, to confirm the knowledge of rules. My 4y/o decided to join in and he commanded the reds bravely (and it was really close). However, after the loss of their commander due to bedtime, the troops lost their fighting spirit and smart unconventional tactics.

Cool, I have not played that. Looks fun.
How much table space did that take up?

Re: Post a Picture of the Last Game with Miniatures you Played!
Was fun. And does not take much space: that's the whole point.
There are two boards (that can be rotated to give some variability to the terrain), each 10'x10'... so 20' x 10'. The miniatures are plastic, 8mm (quite good quality from what I could see, there was only one guy with a bit of a hat problem - the other ones vere molded very precisely).
My wife helped a lot with painting (the nicer ones are her work), but even unpainted they would be good as a start.
I'd say a good choice for someone who does not know if they want to get into the whole wargaming stuff.
The only disadvantage I see is actually the rules: they are very simple, but offer few loopholes that even I could find (e.g. when you lose roll during a fight by 2 - the opponent rolls 6, you roll 4 - you should move to the end of the board and roll for rallying; however the question is - what if you are already pushed to the end of the board?; also the wording on combat is a bit poor - leaves a lot to your imagination (e.g. what if 3 units surround one - one side rolls 3 dice - une per each unit - and takes the best result would be the logical way, but the rules do not specify it that way... and RAI you could end up with one unit being at advantage when surrounded...).
So, good for a starting guy, but needs rules errata. I'm thinking of trying the Pike & Shotte rules for a change

Re: Post a Picture of the Last Game with Miniatures you Played!
Praetor Glaber underestimated Spartacus and his slave forces at Vesuvius. Glaber paid the ultimate price for his error. However, his error was soon compounded. A new praetor raised a new set of recruits to put down the slave uprising. The Praetor was named Varinius, and he kept as his aid a man named Cossinius.
Spartacus and his troops managed to get the drop on their Roman oppressor's yet again! According to the story, Cossinius was ambushed by Spartacus while he was bathing in a Roman villa. The ambush was successful, and the aid was killed and his troops routed.
Today's battle will be re-fighting this action. Will Spartacus be able to slay Cossinius this time? Will the Roman forces be able to put down the slaves? Let's find out!
